Monsoon activity has been observed in many southwestern parts of the country. According to the weather department, certain districts in Uttar Pradesh are likely to continue experiencing heatwave conditions, with expectations of relief in the form of light rain starting from June 22. Additionally, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 42 to 45 degrees Celsius in several cities.

Today Weather in Uttar Pradesh:

  1. Lucknow: The weather in Lucknow is expected to remain clear with continued heatwave conditions. According to IMD, the maximum temperature could exceed 44 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may drop to around 31 degrees Celsius.
  2. Kanpur: IMD forecasts a heatwave alert in Kanpur today, with maximum temperatures reaching about 45 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius.
  3. Varanasi: Varanasi may see maximum temperatures around 45 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius today. The weather department predicts ongoing heatwave conditions in the region.
  4. Ayodhya: In the city of Ayodhya, known as the city of Lord Rama, concerns about heat and loo (hot winds) prevail. The maximum temperature could rise to 44 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures dropping to about 29 degrees Celsius.
  5. Meerut: Meerut is expected to experience warm nights and severe heatwave conditions today, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching up to 43 degrees Celsius. A slight decrease in maximum temperatures is anticipated, with minimum temperatures around 29 degrees Celsius.

This weather update highlights the critical heatwave conditions persisting in Uttar Pradesh and urges residents to take necessary precautions.
