Heatwave Alert in Delhi: Mercury Reaches 45 Degrees, Check Your City’s Weather
Heatwave Alert in Delhi

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted severe heatwave conditions in Delhi and several regions of northwestern India on Saturday. The national capital, Delhi, will experience clear skies and dry weather on May 18, with the maximum temperature expected to reach between 44 and 45 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to stay around 26 degrees Celsius.
Currently, Delhi and the surrounding NCR areas are facing heatwave conditions, with the mercury expected to rise above 45 degrees Celsius on May 19. This intense heat could impact the ongoing election activities in Delhi, as extreme weather conditions typically correlate with lower voter turnout. Pleasant weather usually encourages higher voting percentages by making it easier for voters to go to the polls.
