What is the Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana:

On August 12, 2024, Haryana's Chief Minister, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, launched the Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana for the women of the state’s poor families. The scheme aims to provide gas cylinders at affordable prices to BPL families in the state. Under this scheme, poor families will receive a gas cylinder every month for just ₹500. The government has also launched the "Har Ghar-HHar Grihini Portal," through which applicants can easily avail themselves of the scheme's benefits.

Gas Cylinder for Just ₹500: Eligible families will receive a gas cylinder for only ₹500 under the scheme.
Direct Bank Subsidy: If the cost of the cylinder exceeds ₹500, the additional amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Large Number of Beneficiaries: Approximately 5 million BPL families in the state will benefit from this scheme.

Eligibility and Required Documents:

Eligibility:

• BPL, Antyodaya, and economically weaker families are eligible for this scheme.
• The applicant's annual income should be less than ₹1,80,000.

Required Documents:

• Family Identification Card
• Income Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Address Proof
• Bank Account Details
• Gas Connection Details

Online Application Process:

• Online Registration: Beneficiaries must visit the official Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana portal and register using their mobile number and other basic details.
• Document Submission: After registration, beneficiaries need to upload the required documents, such as their Aadhaar card and income certificate, on the portal.
• Subsidy Distribution: Once the registration is complete, beneficiaries will receive a gas cylinder for ₹500. If the cost of the cylinder exceeds ₹500, the additional amount will be credited to the beneficiary’s bank account by the government.
