First Come, First Served Basis: The Marigold Flower Cultivation Scheme (2024–25) under the National Horticulture Mission is available on a 'first come, first served' basis. This scheme offers farmers a new direction and opportunity to enhance their horticultural production.

This scheme is operational in 23 districts of Bihar, including Araria, Aurangabad, Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gaya, Jamui, Katihar, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhubani, Munger, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Patna, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Samastipur, Vaishali, and West Champaran. Farmers in these districts can increase their income by cultivating marigold flowers.

Land Ownership Requirements:

To cultivate marigold flowers, farmers must own land. To avail of the scheme, farmers need to have a Land Possession Certificate (LPC) and an updated receipt. Farmers without land can benefit from the scheme based on a lease agreement.

Benefit Limits: Under the scheme, a farmer can receive benefits for a maximum of 4 hectares and a minimum of 0.1 hectares. This ensures that both small and large farmers can take advantage of the scheme and boost their production.

Subsidy and Unit Rate: The unit rate for the Marigold Flower Cultivation Scheme is Rs. 40,000 per hectare, with a 70% subsidy provided. This will help farmers with cultivation expenses and strengthen their financial situation.
