India is currently experiencing widespread heavy rainfall, causing rivers and streams to overflow and creating flood-like conditions in several states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for August 6 in Madhya Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. These areas are expected to experience significant rainfall, which could lead to further complications such as landslides and cloudbursts.

In northern India, regions including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar weather, Jharkhand, and Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rain, with some areas seeing heavy downpours. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.

Delhi Weather Update:

Starting today, Delhi is anticipated to receive significant rainfall. On August 6, the capital will experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with maximum and minimum temperatures around 34°C and 27°C, respectively. The rain is expected to continue from August 6 to 8, ranging from moderate to heavy intensity.

Other Regional Forecasts: Heavy rain is forecasted for parts of northern Gujarat and southern Rajasthan. Additionally, Madhya Maharashtra, northern Konkan-Goa, and southern Gujarat will also see rainfall. Moderate to heavy rain is predicted for eastern Rajasthan, coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh.
