In the coming days, a dense to very dense fog is set to persist across key regions, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and parts of Uttar Pradesh, with gradual improvement anticipated from the morning of December 31st. Isolated pockets in north Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, and northeastern states will also experience these conditions until January 1st, 2024. Cold Day conditions are likely in specific areas during December 28th to 31st.

Western Disturbance: Rain and Snow in Northern Areas Simultaneously, a fresh Western Disturbance will influence Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, leading to light rainfall and snowfall, on December 30th and 31st. Lower-level easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal will bring light isolated rainfall to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh from December 31st to January 2nd, 2024. Additionally, a fresh easterly wave will result in light to moderate isolated/scattered rainfall over south Tamil Nadu and Kerala, with isolated heavy rainfall expected on December 31st, 2023, and January 1st, 2024.

Temperature Forecast: Steady with Central India Warming As for temperatures, no significant changes are forecasted over Northwest and East India for the next five days. However, central India can expect a rise of 2-3°C after an initial 24-hour period. Stay weather-wise and prepared for these upcoming atmospheric shifts.
