The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for several states in North India, including Haryana, Chandigarh, and the national capital Delhi weather, until July 3. Eastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are also expected to experience heavy rainfall.

The past two days, the heavy rains have caused significant issues for Delhi's municipal and other departments, leading to widespread waterlogging that has turned streets into temporary ponds. The IMD forecasts that Delhi will continue to see heavy rains in the coming days, with overcast skies and strong winds expected today, July 1, 2024, along with moderate to heavy showers.

Additionally, the IMD predicts heavy rainfall in various parts of Arunachal Pradesh over the next two days. Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim are also under a red alert for heavy rain.

Weather Update for Uttar Pradesh:

The weather department indicates that eastern Uttar Pradesh may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places until July 3. Western Uttar Pradesh is also likely to see heavy to very heavy rain from June 30 to July 3.

Gujarat Weather Conditions: Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara:

Gujarat, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in various regions today, July 1, 2024. Particularly, the Kutch and western areas may see extremely heavy rain. Major cities such as Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Porbandar, Dwarka, and Jamnagar are also likely to experience significant rainfall. The heavy rain pattern in these areas of Gujarat is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
