Benefit to 24.3 million farmers in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, 24.3 million farmers have benefited, receiving a subsidy amount of 1,810 crore rupees. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the total distribution amount has reached 21,912 crore rupees through a new input subsidy instalment of 1,810 crore rupees to 24.3 million farmers in Chhattisgarh. This information was provided by a spokesperson for the state government. This scheme enables farmers to receive input subsidies of 2,500 rupees for every quintal of paddy purchased by the state government.

During a program commemorating the 79th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the government distributed 2,055.6 crore rupees to beneficiaries of various schemes. Addressing the program, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi stated that the Bhupesh Baghel government is realizing the dreams of the late Prime Minister. The state has distributed 168.63 crore rupees to beneficiaries of the Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agriculture Laborer Justice Scheme, 66.21 crore rupees under the Rajiv Yuva Mitra Club, and 9.65 crore rupees under the Gauthan Nyay Yojana. The scheme has also provided 551.31 crore rupees to women self-help groups, village committees, and rural residents.
