Average prices of major varieties of Banana in prominent markets on 18th September

As of today, September 18, according to the Wholesale Price Index, the price of Medium  bananas in major markets ranged from a maximum of 2600 rupees per quintal to a minimum of 2200 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 2500 rupees per quintal. The price of Desi (Bontha) bananas in medium markets reached a maximum of 1200 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 1000 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 1100 rupees per quintal. The price of Banana Ripe in medium markets was at a maximum of 4000 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 3000 rupees per quintal, with a modal average price of 3900 rupees per quintal. The price of Robusta Banana in medium markets was at a maximum of 1700 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 1200 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 1500 rupees per quintal.
