The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that light to moderate rain is expected to be quite extensive across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, scattered to widespread rain is likely in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Uttar Pradesh, while isolated to scattered showers are expected in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and Rajasthan.
According to the IMD, the skies over Delhi will remain mostly cloudy today (18 August), with chances of light rain or drizzle throughout the day. Heavy rainfall is expected in the capital on August 20. The maximum temperature today is likely to reach 36°C, while the minimum could be around 27°C. The IMD has forecasted that similar weather conditions will prevail across Delhi and parts of the NCR until August 22.
Jammu Division: Isolated heavy rainfall is expected on August 18 and 19.
Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is likely in various regions from August 18 to 24.
Uttarakhand: Heavy showers are expected on August 18-19 and again from August 21 to 24, with very heavy rainfall predicted for August 20.
Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi: Heavy rainfall is likely on August 20 and 21.
Uttar Pradesh: Rainfall intensity is expected to increase between August 19 and 24.
East Rajasthan: Isolated heavy rainfall is expected from August 22 to 24.
