High-Tech Horticulture Scheme, How to Apply Under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture

The High-Tech Horticulture Scheme has been launched to provide farmers with the latest technologies and tools. Under this scheme, various activities such as Front Line Demonstration (FLD), horticulture mechanization, shade nets, polyhouses, and the cultivation of high-value vegetables will receive financial assistance. Front Line Demonstration (FLD):

The Front Line Demonstration component will be implemented in 23 districts of Bihar, including Araria, Aurangabad, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Banka, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Purnia, Munger, Rohtas, Nalanda, East Champaran, Gaya, Vaishali, Samastipur, Patna, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Madhubani, Jamui, Khagaria, and Katihar. Under this scheme, each unit will receive a 75% subsidy for an area of 2000 square meters, helping farmers improve their agricultural practices.

Horticulture Mechanization:

Horticulture mechanization plans are being implemented in 23 districts of the state. Farmers will be provided subsidies for horticultural tractors. General category farmers will receive a 25% subsidy (₹0.75 lakh), while Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers will receive a 35% subsidy (₹1 lakh). The aim of this scheme is to provide farmers with better agricultural equipment, increasing efficiency and productivity.

Shade Nets and Gerbera Cultivation:

The Shade Net scheme will benefit farmers in the districts of Patna, Begusarai, Darbhanga, Munger, and Katihar. Under this scheme, farmers will receive a 50% subsidy on the cost of ₹710 per square meter. Additionally, for Gerbera cultivation, a 50% subsidy will be provided at a cost of ₹610 per square meter. This scheme will be implemented in the same districts.

Polyhouses:

The Polyhouse scheme will benefit farmers in the districts of Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, and West Champaran. A subsidy of 50% will be offered at a rate of ₹935 per square meter. This scheme will be implemented across five districts.

Vegetable Cultivation in Polyhouses:

For the cultivation of high-value vegetables under the Polyhouse scheme, a 50% subsidy will be provided at a cost of ₹140 per square meter. This scheme aims to support farmers in growing more profitable crops.
