The Uttar Pradesh government is providing farmers with the opportunity to avail themselves of grants for agricultural machinery agricultural defense equipment, custom hiring centers, high-tech hubs for custom hiring, threshing floors, and small warehouses under all the schemes of agricultural mechanization.
To streamline the selection of beneficiaries for agricultural machinery distribution, the first-come-first-served system has been discontinued, and a system of beneficiary selection through e-lottery in the booking process for received applications has been initiated. Currently, the booking process is underway for applications for agricultural machinery grants exceeding 10,000 rupees.
Applications and bookings for grants for agricultural machinery/agricultural defense equipment, custom hiring centers, high- tech hubs for custom hiring, threshing floors, and small warehouses are being accepted from November 30th to December 14th. The entire booking list will be presented to the district-level executive committee, chaired by the District Magistrate. The departmental portal will facilitate the selection of beneficiaries through e-lottery based on block-wise targets. In summary, the application and booking process, which started on November 30th, will continue until December 14th for grants related to agricultural mechanization schemes such as NFSM, SMAEM, and NMAO (OSTBIO). The district-level executive committee, chaired by the District Magistrate, will oversee the selection of beneficiaries through e-lottery on the departmental portal, based on block-wise targets.
According to the Department of Agriculture, beneficiaries/farmers can apply online by clicking on the "Get Token for Grant on Machinery" link on the departmental viewing portal. The e-lottery system will be used to select beneficiaries chosen in accordance with the set targets. In addition to the number of beneficiaries selected through the e-lottery system, a waiting list of up to 50% of the target will also be prepared in a sequential waiting list. In the event of the target not being fulfilled, beneficiaries will be selected in accordance with the waiting list through e-lottery.
For e-lottery information regarding the venue, date, and time, applicants will be mandatory provided by the respective district deputy agriculture director. Grants will be available for various agricultural machinery and equipment, including laser land leveler, post-hole digger, potato planter, potato digger, sugar cane cutter planter, sugar cane thresh cutter, sugar cane rattoon manager, harrow, cultivator, power sprayer, multi-crop thresher, power chaff cutter, straw reaper, brass cutter, mini rice mill, mini dal mill, millet mill, solar dryer, oil mill with filter press, packing machine, rotavator, tractor-mounted sprayer, briquette making machine, urea deep placement applicator, self-propelled machinery, power tiller, power weeder, combine harvester with super SMS, rice transplanter, zero-till multi-crop planter, maize cellar, happy seeder, reaper cum binder, community threshing floor, small warehouse, custom hiring center, high-tech hub for custom hiring, etc.
