The Trishul, a sacred symbol of Lord Shiva, should be brought into the home. It is believed that the presence of a Trishul wards off negative energy from the household.

It is considered highly auspicious to bring Bel leaves into the home during the month of Sawan. These leaves are used in worship to gain the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Bringing Rudraksha beads home during Sawan is deemed very auspicious. According to religious beliefs, Rudraksha beads originated from the tears of Lord Shiva.

During Sawan, bringing Ganga water home and using it to perform Lord Shiva’s Abhishek (ritual bath) is believed to fulfill all of one’s desires.

Bringing a pair of silver or copper Nag-Nagin (serpents) into the home and burying them under the main entrance is said to help in completing pending tasks and overcoming obstacles.
